  Bill Hampel

Bill is senior vice president of the research and policy analysis department and chief economist for Credit Union National Association. He joined the department as an economist in 1978, was promoted to vice president in 1985, then appointed to senior vice president in 1992. He also writes economic analysis columns for several credit union publications.


  Emily More Hollis

Emily has served as a principal of ALM First Financial Advisors, LLC, since the company was established in 1995. Under her leadership, the company has steadily grown to a client base of more than 100 financial institutions representing more than $71 billion in assets. Emily's extensive background includes executing and managing risk management programs and implementation of one of the first-ever uses of futures hedging and synthetic structures in the credit union industry.


  Thomas Klier

Thomas is a senior economist in the economic research department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. His research interests include the effects of changes in manufacturing technology, the spatial distribution of economic activity, and regional economic development. Thomas has written widely on the evolving geography of the auto industry and has been published in many scholarly journals including the Journal of Regional Studies and the Journal of Business and Economic Statistics.


  Ronald Koza

Ronald is chief investment officer of Members United Corporate Federal Credit Union. He is responsible for the corporate activities of the asset-liability management, lending, and supporting departments that provide members with investment and lending value and service. He also serves on the corporate asset-liability and internal asset-liability committees. Ronald has over 25 years experience in the investment arena and holds much knowledge about investments and asset-liability management, as well as derivatives instruments.


  Brad Miller

Brad is the senior vice president and chief financial officer of Xerox Federal Credit Union in El Segundo, CA. He is responsible for the accounting and finance functions of the institution including asset-liability management, overall financial strategy, and regulatory reporting. Brad has several years of experience in the corporate credit union network, providing various consulting services including asset-liability measurement and management, investment management, and balance sheet strategies.


  Steven W. Rick

Steve is a senior economist for Credit Union National Association. He conducts economic research, teaches at various credit union schools and conferences, and writes articles for CUNA publications. Steve facilitates strategic planning sessions for credit union boards and has authored a textbook on asset-liability management. Steve is also a faculty member of the economics department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.


  Mike Schenk

Mike Schenk is vice president of economics and statistics for Credit Union National Association. He conducts economic and financial research and provides support for CUNA Governmental Affairs and Public Relations efforts. His analyses regularly appear in publications such as CUNA's Credit Union Magazine and CU360 Newsletter. Mike has 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before joining CUNA in 1992, he was the director of research for Financial Research Corporation, where he conducted economic analyses, competitor evaluations, and product-line planning for mutual fund companies.
